About

Believe in yourself! Everyone has to start somewhere, don’t give up if something seems hard. Keep going until it gets easier. Your brain has the biggest amount of control on your body and what you do, so positive thinking and being strong minded is a key element to succeed in whatever you do.

I started when I was 12 with an organisation called ECKA- Kickboxing. All I wanted was to be close to my big bother so we used to train together. I decided to take part in a KB fight at the age of 12. I won the nationals and become Pee Wee National Champion. I stopped training and competing straight after that because I lost interest.

My journey over the past few years has been a whirlwind. I started training again 4 years ago. I had a little boy and I was in the middle of a breakup with his father. I hadn't been training since I was 12 years old but training gave me a sense of happiness at such a hard period of my life.  About 9-10 months after starting back training I felt the urge to compete again. And since then everything took off unexpectedly fast.

"Even though it was a different style I accepted the fight. I flew to Thailand to prepare for my fight. Being away from my son was hard but I knew I had to put everything and more into my training. I returned from Thailand a week before my fight - I was extremely tired, burnt out, in pain and just broken but I went forward and stepped in the ring. The first 2 rounds were terrible, I just kept walking into punches. I was not switched on at all. 3rd round was lost by 1 point and at the end of the 3rd round my nose was broken and I was burnt out.

My coach Tony Davis, from Total Dojo, shouted at me to move like I usually move, he knew I could win if I stuck to who I was as a fighter and didn't try to match or change my game plan. 4th and 5th round I won, but too little too late. I lost my first ever fight. I was gutted. Not because I had lost, but because I knew I wasn't myself in that ring. After that fight, I was more hungry than ever to get back in the ring - I was dying to get back in the ring!!!"

Running my own business in-between being a full time fighter and mum can be challenging but I love my team of ladies. They inspire me so much, they make me want to do well for them as they all believe in me and support me so much. I’m so lucky to have an amazing team and business in an area I’m so passionate about. I thrive to get the best for people every single day! I love making people happy and enjoy seeing people smile and having fun. That’s important for me to see and make happen.

My training journey continues waiting for opportunities with the support of my coaches at Total Dojo.

My new chapter to become a Sports & Rehabilitation Therapist is well underway, I am hoping to help others overcome injuries and support with their recovery.
